It would seem that when Aldous Huxley launched his attack on jazz he didn't consider the economic side.  

His attack on jazz was founded on the comprehensive basis of a film starring Al Jolson 
singularly weak on financial analysis. Probably lucrative and misleading.


But we all know (cf. Ken Mathieson recent post) what the Princess said, 


"little frog, I don't doubt that you were a jazz musician, 
before that nasty witch fell out with you: 

but I trained as an investment adviser and you're better off as you are.
Kiss off."

This probably has no relation to the early Ellington number, "Doin' the Frog"
(no relation to Ben Webster)
