Does anyone know who the trumpet soloist is on Casey Jones Stomp by Blanche
Calloway And Her Joy Boys - it's Ms. Calloway fronting Andy Kirk and His
Twelve Clouds Of Joy. The cut was recorded for Victor on March 2, 1931. Ben
Thigpen is the drummer, Mary Lou Williams takes a very nice solo on piano,
John Harrington is the only clarinetist listed. There were 3 trumpeters in
the band: Harry Lawson, Edgar Battle and Clarence Smith.
