Dear Marek,
I certainly wouldn't. And said so previously.
He has put quality ahead of what is in the grooves.
And worse than what?
His rare, unavailable (to most) 78s?
Without that VMP CD we would only have access to a handful of the Blue Steele sides on compilation CDs.

That is subjective and in the ear of the beholder.
A lot of jazz enthusiasts (not me) feel the some way about the 'hot dance bands'.
Or Paul Whiteman, and Jean Goldkette, and the Dorsey Brothers, and some Territory Bands, and...
