OK then, Bob's invited us to list our upcoming gigs, so if anyone is likely to be in the vicinity of Lockerbie in the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland over this weekend, my Classic Jazz Orchestra is appearing with Evan Christopher as part of the Lockerbie Jazz Festival (see www.lockerbiejazz.com ) Our gig is at the Queen's Hotel, Lockerbie at 8:00pm and we'll be playing an eclectic mix of material from our recent CD with Evan (Clarinet Gumbo on Lake LACD 333) plus jazz from a wide range of sources. So there'll be Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Armstrong, Buck Clayton, Sidney Bechet, Fazola and a few others.
