Dear Ross and all,

The DJML was founded by Peter Lovric on March 13, 1995.  Peter passed
away on September 8, 1997.


I joined within a week of Peter starting DJML. 

After Peter’s passing, a gentleman named Randy moderated the list for a while. When he left, I took over as Moderator a long, long time ago. Dave Haupt is the asst. Moderator. He is the one who does all the behind the scenes web work to keep DJML going. 

I just take all the credit. (smile)

But I suspect there are other pros on the list who are working a lot of gigs
but just not bothering to list them on DJML. 



I know most of our members are not in the Northern CA area but in the case
there are a few, it is nice to get the word out of where Jazz is being
played. 



I would encourage other musicians to list their gigs here as you never know
when we get a new member or when a long-time member is traveling and might
just happen to be in the area. Because of DJML I have made so many friends
around the world and met so many in person. 



As Phil Crumley always says, "Is this a great list or what?"
