[Dixielandjazz] Cal Abbott, RIP

[Bert Thompson]

Cal Abbott, well known in the San Francisco Bay Area for his reed playing and wit, died September 24, 2014.  He was a member of Professor Plum's Jazz Band in the 70's and 80's and played and subbed with other bands.  After he left the area he was a member for a time of the Stumptown Jazz Band in Portland, Oregon, prior to moving to Arizona.   Regards,   Bert Thompson
