Digital technology has placed reasonably good recordings within the reach of
jazz bands that previously had little access to it.  The rise of YouTube has
made it possible for many people to listen to recordings and see videos of
some of our traditional jazz bands here in the Austin, TX area.  Here is a
list of recordings readily available on the Net.  I hope you will listen and
enjoy.

 

The Austin Traditional Jazz Society will open its 2014-15 season with a
concert by my own Silver Creek Jazz Band on Sunday, September 7.  Jazz fans
who are in town are welcome to attend.  For more information, please see
