This leads me to thinking....are there others in jazz who have been so
distinctive that they're immediately recognizable, and not "imitable" by
others without sounding like outright musical plagiarists? Error Garner,
surely. Boyce Brown, maybe? Joe Rushton comes close. The under-rated Bill
Rank? This is a very subjective game, but I'm interested in others' ideas.
