Certainly Louis Armstrong
Art Tatem
Jack Teagarden
Edmond Hall

Bix
Upon hearing these musicians, there is no mistaking them for someone else.

Monk did a concert playing several numbers with Pee Wee Russell. Does anyone know if it's on YouTube? I couldn't find it, maybe for lack of searching skills. That struck me as a fitting duo, since both are one-of-a-kind players, very eccentric and unique within their traditions. Any help would be appreciated.
This leads me to thinking....are there others in jazz who have been so distinctive that they're immediately recognizable, and not "imitable" by others without sounding like outright musical plagiarists? Error Garner, surely. Boyce Brown, maybe? Joe Rushton comes close. The under-rated Bill Rank? This is a very subjective game, but I'm interested in others' ideas.
