To stimulate some traffic, I have a question. My 42 year-old daughter is getting married in December. A disk jockey will provide the music, but I can provide the music for the old folk. I can think of lots of OKOM, of a romantic sort, for my wife and I to dance to — e.g., Armstrong’s A Kiss to Build a Dream On — but what about the father/daughter dance? My 80 year-old legs can only handle slower-paced numbers, such as the Armstrong piece.

I guess I really have two questions: The most pressing is what would be appropriate for a father/ daughter dance?
The second is what would make for good selections to insert for the general audience when the disk jockey is not playing the music of my daughter’s peers? I’d like to stay in the realm of Dixieland, Swing, or American Songbook.
