On October 14, 1941, Sidney Bechet & His New Orleans Footwarmers recorded
"Rip Up The Joint". I'm not certain of what the lyrics meant. My warped mind
came to 2 conclusions. Was it about drugs or hearing great music in a club?
Of course, it could be something else.
On that gig were Henry Goodwin on trumpet and vocal, Vic Dickenson trombone
and solo vocal, Don Donaldson on piano and Manzie Johnson on drums.
Any ideas?
Thanks;
Stan
