Subject: Dottie Ashworth (Mrs. Dave Wright) passes
On Friday, January 24th, Dottie's suffering from leukemia, lupus and non-mobility
came to an end.  She had a heroic battle for many years but was aided by the constant
help of husband Dave Wright in their home in California City.
Dottie was the widow of the late Joe Ashworth and was always just off-stage in his
years as founder and co-leader of the Hot Frogs Jumping Jazz Band.  Like Joe, Dottie
had a fine-tuned sense of what traditional jazz music demands to sound right.  She
seldom kept these perceptions to herself and, again like Joe, encouraged musicians
to do our very best at all times.
Dave has not announced any services or memorial as he strives to cope with her loss.
Her many friends will surely remember her at her vibrant best.
