I've received notification that a proposal for a law permitting transport of
musical instruments as hand luggage on European airlines has been approved,
and a final vote is to take place in Brussels on the 4th of March, 2014.
This should put a stop to hoping to encounter friendly airline personnel on
your next flight in Europe when carrying an instrument.
