[Dixielandjazz] jazz historian/ journalist/ photographer Bob Byler's wife Ruth has died

Many of you on DJML and Musicians & Jazzfans lists know Bob Byler either
personally or by reputation.  He been a journalism professor and
professional photographer.  He has contributed to Tulane Jazz Archives,
Kansas City jazz archives, Chuck Haddix  and to  the George Buck Foundation.
Bob has written for Mississippi Rag as well as other jazz publications.

 

Got a phone call from Bob that his wife Ruth died a short time ago.  Bob has
had his own medical/surgical problems in recent past but has improved.  Some
may wish to drop him a note.
