[Dixielandjazz] trombone players

Well, I didn't say it, did I?
To say it would be as silly as saying that Mr McGariTea or Sandy Williams recorded the 'best' trombone solo. But your reactions confirmed my point, didn't they?
I was very fond of George Brunies's work with Ted Lewis. But he did eventually go downhill in the years after Muggsy. He had terrible stomach trouble and he tried to fight his ulcer(s) by eating very hot chillies and drinking pints of whiskey.
'Fight fire with fire!' he cried, which is probably how he got the nickname 'Ironhead'.
