"I believe I recall my mother under her maiden name, Gene Gentry, saying she sang with I think the Charlie Davis band in the 30s. She also did some singing in Chicago, she said. I don't recall any other bands she mentioned. Can you direct me to any resources to see if I can discover more detail about her singing 'career.'"
