Loyd Glenn was by then (1977) quite well known in France.  A friend of
ours, who at the time lived in Israel but was born and bred in Paris, was
extremely excited to see Lloyd Glenn, and the French crowd gave him a
standing ovation even before he started playing.  I, on the other hand,
only knew him from his records with Kid Ory.
