Trumpeter Paul Kurtz of Jacksonville, FL sends this note as a follow up to
Marc Myers Jazz Wax blog about technological changes which influenced the
direction of jazz.
I have no knowledge about the statues of the Les Brown/Vic Shoen
"Sterelphonic Suite for 2 Bands." Can any of you listmates edify us
ignorami?
Thanks.

Subject: Re: JazzWax--Stereo Experiments West--
What about the great Les Brown/Vic Shoen classic "Stereophonic Suite for 2
Bands?" I've been waiting and hoping for 4 years that this song set would be
put out as a true recording. I have a bootleg from a friend, but would
rather have a more buttoned-up copy.
This was a very early and seminal recording of 2 bands in stereo.
