This sounds really exciting! And with the addition of Josh Duffee just announced on drums!

TO MY MUSICAL FAMILY,
I have a very, very special announcement to make.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of my Nouveau-Passe Orchestra. It has been a long road and the band has seen a lot of ups and downs. A lot of changes, adjustments & modifications during that time. I'm happy to say that the band is going strong and sounds better than ever.
Some years ago a fellow musician, hearing about my orchestra, stated "HEY, you could be the Paul Whiteman of the 21st Century!"
Needless to say that stuck with me since PW is one of my favorites.
Now, in celebration of 10 years of presenting vintage music, I get to be Paul Whiteman more than ever!
On August 31st, at the Diana Wortham Theater in Asheville NC, I will be conducting a 35 piece orchestra in a concert entitled "RHAPSODY" performing the actual Paul Whiteman orchestrations.
There will be a few special musicians and singers on the program.
Renown Jazz Cornetist David M. Jellema will be Bix Beiderbecke's chair. Saxophonist Steve Alford will be in Frank Trumbauer's chair.
Steve Trisman will be in Joe Venuti's chair. My dear friend Col. Scott Ables will be vocalizing in place of his great uncle Bing Crosby. Dutch Newman, Cary Farnsworth & Douglas Roegiers aka The Rhythm Boys will take the stage in place of Harry Barris, Al Rinker & Bing Crosby (The Original Rhythm Boys). The final piece of the program will be the 1924 rendition of RHAPSODY IN BLUE featuring Dr. William Bares at the piano.
It's been a long time coming and it's finally hear.
See You There!
