I hope this finds you well.

My friend, saxophonist Darius Babazadeh, has an excellent new CD hot off the press. I had the pleasure to be the guest singer on two numbers. [" Inside a Silent Tear" and "Nice Weather For Ducks."] The songs are all available digitally for .99 cents singly, or the whole CD of 12 tunes can be downloaded for 9.99. 

Along with Darius, the CD features Scott Collard on piano, Buca Necak on bass, and Rick Lotter on drums.  This was a live in the studio project which brought together four excellent jazz musicians from Sacramento, who also happen to be longtime friends. The intent was to create a laid back, approachable, swinging, mellow result. Please take a listen when you get a chance. Among the tunes are some rarer standards such as "Beatrice," "Endless Stars," and "Syeeda's Song Flute," along with new takes on stalwarts "Desafinado," and "Soul Eyes," plus a light-hearted original, "Take the Light Rail."

Many of these tracks are now in rotation on the local PBS jazz station, KXJZ.
