[Dixielandjazz] Steve Blailock RIP

Stephen Blailock, a well-known jazz musician originally from McComb, Miss., 
 has been named as the alleged shooter in an apparant murder-suicide 
recently  reported in Countryplace subdivision, Pearland Police officials 
confirmed  Wednesday (July 24). The victim was identified as his 37 year-old wife, 
Ling C.  Blailock. 
On Friday evening (July 19), a witness reported hearing gun shots around 
7:30  at the Blailock residence located in the 900 block of Maple Branch. 
Neighbors  had reportedly heard the couple arguing in the moments leading up to 
the  shooting. 
When police arrived they found the couple dead on the porch. Detectives  
recovered a six-shot revolver at the scene. 
Detectives said it is believed Blailock shot and killed his wife as she was 
 leaving the house and then turned the gun on himself. 
No other details related to the investigation have yet been  released.
