[Dixielandjazz] Seeking original labels for "Kentucky Blues"

Recorded by State Street Ramblers in the famous session with Roy 
Palmer in March 1931.  Released on Champion 16320 and 40007, and on 
Superior 2670 by "Speed Jeffries and his Night Owls."

Am looking for the composer credit.  Best guess is Frank Melrose, but 
I've been through the copyright books for all the years around 1931 
without finding it, and it seems odd that Frank Melrose, a publisher 
himself with his brother Lester, would fail to copyright something he wrote.
