I hope the coming celebration of Dobell's will be organised in co-ordination with the current owners of the catalogue Doug compiled by way of a succession of recording sessions, and recordings from Paul Oliver's Blues field-trip.

Of course Bob Koester has at least some ragtime recordings now on Delmark CD which had also appeared on the wondrous 77 label, leased from I think Euphonic, which Bob K later acquired.

There was all that lovely Stride Piano, Dill Jones occasioning the measured assessment of Steve Voce that he had made the greatest stride piano LP ever. Great piece of criticism, compels attention to the competition too, and I've been too busy listening to the evidence to decide whether Steve was right.

A melancholy moment when on a trip through London I arrived at Seven Dials and found the shop empty.
