Quite so, but to be fair to Rust - in the November 1944 issue of Jazz Notes 
(published in Melbourne) Brian had a ODJB discography in which he dated the 
Columbia session as May, 1917. Presumably he later changed it to the January 
date because of the erroneous story as written in Brunn's book on the ODJB.
