In the 80's, we performed often live on a Spanish national tv show, normally
playing our own rep.  However, once we were asked to do Chattanooga as the
music was to accompany a skit at an old-time Spanish railway station.  We
did it quite honorably that once.  Never, ever played it again!

I recorded that tune in 1970 with Julio Iglesias.

The music starts after 1 minute.  I think I may have posted this link before
on DJML as I recall some folks writing to say that I was a good looking
girl!  The girl with the trombone is a dancer, of course.  If the band had
been shown I would have been the good looking guy!   :>

The only other times I have ever played the song was in the Air Force bands!
Have to agree with Bill that it's not all that great to play, although it
seems to have been a great hit for Mr. Miller.
