[Dixielandjazz] Fwd: The Caoba Jazz Band - and repertoire

I have "25 Anos - Hot Jazz"-- my daughter sent it from Argentina
several years ago. It's (and they) are marvelous. Lots of Jabbo Smith
tunes and playing them side-by-side with the originals is enlightening--
especially the vocal parts. It's one of my favorite CDs to play for
people that think they can identify any band.
Actually, it's just one of my favorite CDs. Their YouTube videos don't
seem to do them justice.

It was this CD that got me started on my quest to write an arrangement of "Bozo" (which is unfortunately still a forthcoming attraction). Just love the chord structure of that tune.

In just typing that last sentence, i searched the web again and saw that Amazon has a downloadable CD and songs from the recording "25 Años - Hot Jazz", which i'm going to buy, but i can't find much else available. Thanks for reminding me of them.
