>From "The Original Dukes of Dixieland" Facebook Page... RIP..."just got word that Jack Maheu a great musician and family friend died this afternoon just after 3:00 pm. May he forever jazz on with those who have gone before him. Jack was a part of the legacy that was the real Dukes of Dixieland many years ago and I was fortunate to become his friend many years later. He told me that those were some of the best years of his life. He along with so many other musicians shared those same feelings and in the near future I'll make a point of sharing those memories with those fans of the real The Original Dukes of Dixieland.
