as much as the world seems obsessed with the musicianless mashup culture, I
suppose it is encouraging how even after all these years, Swing is still
The Thing -- in Stanley Dance's book "The World of Swing" he I think
rightly observes how even though "Rock Music" completely removed any
'swing' from the music, the dancers still swung ;)

but on this subject of electro-swing, I suppose we've come a long way since
the 70's era Pye Records "The Hotel Orchestra" moog arrangements of
swing-era pop hits, an LP so dismal I see there's not a shred of it on
YouTube ;)
