Thanks, everyone, for all the input about the lyrics to the verse. I guess I 
didn't listen long enough to the Cheap Suit  Serenaders version. I'll listen 
again.

That is a scarce song! The only sheet music I could find on line is

You might try contacting the Motto Collection - I think they charge $3
for a copy of old sheet music. http://fflib.org/motto

The Cheap Suit Serenaders  sing a verse (in the middle of their
recording. It is available on Spotify.
