One of the first albums I ever bought was Chico Hamilton Quintet (Pacific
Jazz PJ-1200). Buddy Collette on flute, clarinet, alto & tenor; Jim Hall,
guitar; Fred Katz, cello; Carson Smith, bass; and of course Chico on drums.
I got it after hearing them live at a jazz festival in Boston in 1955.
Absolutely wonderful stuff! Still is today, but of course it's not
Dixieland. Sorry, Marek.

I remember seeing Chico Hamilton with his group that included a guitar and
cello. This was back, probably in the late 50s. It was GREAT!

Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a
bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.
