Chico was doing some nice things in his early eighties, with George Bohannon and Jimmy Cheatham tromboning magnificently -- and gutsily...  

not after a fashion to be confused with cello and bass and guitar and one horn, 

Trombonophil listmates might be interested. 


and of course Chico did play on the Jaime McPartland LP of deProtestantised Dixieland marketed as dixieland with a Latin etc. etc. whatever.  

Not quite Pee Wee Russell plays Ernesto Nazareth, but happily in a similarly frisky musical language
