[Dixielandjazz] A bit of praise

My Dad was a great classical music fan & never gave my interest in jazz a
nod of approval.  (He heard me play once when I was 16, and again when he
was in a wheelchair at age 91, barely able to know that it was I playing.)

He did admit to me once, though, that he had played one of our recordings
for his good friend, Sebastian, lead trumpet with the Los Angeles Symphony
Orchestra.  It seems that this Sebastian fellow said to my Dad "boy, I wish
I could play like that"!  Before that remark, my Dad had always been under
the opinion that any classical musician could obviously play jazz if he
wanted to.
