[Dixielandjazz] 2012 Sacramento Music Festival - more Trad than most Trad festivals

Not that it is very relevant, since I am not likely to be there - a
bit far from Israel - but I've tried to find some of the bands on the
web, to no avail. For example, I found information on Joe V, but not
the band. The one swing band I jhave found - Red Skunk - makes me
wonder. Definitely not my kind of music, ad I just cannot stand
wailing guitars. Is that what you mean by swing bands? I probably
listen to swing more than to trad, and I know there are some great
swing musicians and groups in the US.
However, there seems to be more good jazz than one can possibly hear
over a few days. The New Black Eagle JB is among the best anywhere.
Uptown Lowdown has long been a favourite (only recently I bought a
vinyl LP of the band). And lots of others. I wish I could hear the
Reynold Brothers in person.
In the meantime, I am going to a festival closer to home - listmate
Itzes' Bohem Festival in Kecskemet, Hungary. over the ensuing weekend.
Cheers
