If anyone wants a new manual typewriter, the Vermont Country Store sells a 
portable model. It probably doesn't have the same "thwacking" sound as an 
office model Underwood. And our local Office Max has three electrics on the 
shelf.

This video is a performance is the "The Typewriter" by Leroy Anderson,
composed in 1950 for typewriter and orchestra. Many orchestras today are
purchasing a used manual typewriter to keep on hand for future performances
of this piece, since the even electric typewriters are becoming hard to find
these days.
