[Dixielandjazz] Tears

At the 1984 Edinburgh festival, a lady sat next to me at the NBEB
concert.  At first, she wasn't very friendly - reserved as the Brits
are reputed to be,  Then I siad about Eli Newberger, who seemd to be
caressing his tuba and speaking to it: "He looks as if he wwere making
love to the beat!"  She cracked up, and the incident evolved into a
life-long frienship.
