flying with a tenor banjo in a soft case (fits overhead) on United, Delta or
Jet Blue?

Hi, Elazar.

I just returned from a weekend trip to Atlanta (from Madrid) on Delta. I
saw a good number of folks with full size guitars in hard cases (big!)
walking around the terminal in Atlanta. Also, several violins, so a banjoy
should be no problem. Number one rule is to make sure you get on as soon as
possible so the bins aren't already full.

I didn't take my trombone this trip, but have never had a problem, except
one time when I boarded late.

Jim
