[Dixielandjazz] Treme (and or Ken Burns Jazz)

My 2 cents:

Shows like Treme, Boardwalk Empire, Ken Burns Jazz etc., are bound to disappoint if we look at them with a highly focused lens of what we, personally, want to see. Or what we personally like. These shows are not written for any of us personally. They are written for the general audience.

While it is fine to personally like or dislike a particular show, the real success of the show's message will be what the general audience thinks about it. 

Same with Dixieland music. If the general audience does not want to hear the style that a particular band plays, then either adapt to a relevant style or adopt the mantle of a starving and "misunderstood" artist.
