This guy obviously has not checked the nursing homes, and retirement homes in the area to find out that they actually have a budget to HIRE Live Bands to perform there once a month and some more than that. Some of the "Entertainment Directors" at some of these facilities will however try to get bands to play for Free if they can get away with it. I have a friend who does 1 hour Karaoke shows at retirement homes and has a regular circuit of them he plays once a month, and he makes almost $30,000.00 a year just singing to tapes. Some days he does two or three of them at $60.00 to $125.00 each. He has been making a living at this for over 20 years and this is his day job :)) He does not work at anything else. He used to do it at local clubs on the Friday and Saturday and Sunday nights, but got tired of playing to the local drunks.

Cheers,

Bart.
