Watching (and hearing) Lil Hardin whacking away at the piano on the show 
made me think of the difference between the New Orleans Wanderers and 
the Red Hot Peppers,  The first is great classic jazz of the early 
Chicago period, the second was just about as good as it's ever going to 
get. Similar personnel. The difference was a New Orleans pianist.
