[Dixielandjazz] Recommended reading

It was several years ago that this list had much discussion about
Richard Sudhalter's
book  “Lost Chords: White Musicians and Their Contribution to Jazz, 1915-1945”.
I took the book from the shelf and read several chapters last night.
I mention this
only to suggest that those who have the book can always learn something by
re-reading it at random.  To any members that haven't read it, I
highly recommend
that you acquire it.  A book not only for musicians, but for anyone
who loves the
many aspects of jazz, swing, or any form of music.
