Thanks, I see it as a great honour and a big pleasure.The early Ellington arrangements are such treasures to play and also the small band pieces, where I play the clarinet parts are a delight.
Also it is a fantastic experience to be able to play my favourite kind of music so often on large theatre stages.
I'm afraid there are not too many jazz bands left worldwide, that have the opportunity to do this kind of work on a regular basis, alas.So I really loved it when the invitation came to join Chris Barber's band permanently.
The Crackerjacks will go on, under the leadership of Selena like they allready did on the festivals of Cork and Jakarta, last Oktober.
