Dear Marek,
Not really that strange.
Marian Turner (not Page, as given by John Chilton) worked as a music hall pianist with Billy Mayerl's Claviers then performed for British and US troops during WWII, where she met Jimmy McP in Belgium in 1944.
Jazz entered her life after they married and lived in New York.
She was never on the British jazz scene.
My mate John Chilton's "Who's Who of Jazz - Storyville To Swing Street" only covers musicians and vocalists born before 1920 and born or raised in the USA.
