Dear Friends,
Sadly, my friend, banjo/guitarist John (Johnny) Malpas, died in his sleep overnight on 12/13 December 2012.
Born on 28 May 1921, John was a founder member of the Adelaide-based Southern Jazz Group in 1945, was with the Bruce Gray All Stars, Bill Munro's Campus Six and had a long musical association for many years with Dave Dallwitz groups.
