Turk was correct, unfortunately for him al his fans moved to Stockton, Sacramento, Fresno and other places eastward deserting the Big City, He went broke anyway, and might have lasted longer if he had followed them.
He never seemed to get the handle on promoting to the tourists that came to San Francisco. But he certainly was not the only one that could or would not do that. Beach Blanket Babylon seems to have surpassed his staying power.
At least that's how I recall it.
