The Hot Rhythm Holiday returns to Austin on September 13 - 16, 2012.  This is a four-day event dedicated to the sounds and dances of the hot jazz era.  Dance and music classes will be offered, along with social dance sessions and sets by two of the hottest traditional jazz bands in Texas, Austin's own East Side Dandies and the Jim Cullum Jazz Band from San Antonio.

Dance classes will be offered at the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels for the Balboa, Charleston and Shag (and variations thereof).  Dance instructors will be coming from all over the country to offer these classes.  Music classes will be offered by a staff of master jazz musicians, including David Jellema (cornet), Jon Doyle (clarinet), Mark Gonzales (trombone), Ryan Gould (string bass), Albanie Falletta (guitar), Westen Borghesi (banjo), Katie Holmes (violin), Morris Nelms (piano) and Hal Smith (drums).
