Here is an updated description Tuba Skinny put on their Facebook page.

--------
Hailing from New Orleans, and inspired by the early jazz and blues music of
the
twenties and thirties, Tuba Skinny -- which consists of tuba, trombone, cornet,

tenor banjo/guitar, vocals, washboard, and sometimes clarinet -- evokes the
rich musical history of the city. Since forming in 2009, the band has developed

a following thanks to their performances on streets and stages around the
world.
They have released 4 albums.
--------

While Tuba Skinny is my new favorite from NO, there are also several other NO
groups that play in the same style. The clubs on Frenchmen Street, just off the
French Quarter, is where all these groups play and the Lindy Hoppers dance.
Here are some of the groups. You can find most of them on YouTube.

- Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns

- Panorama Jazz Band

- Smokin' Time Jazz Club (great name)

- New Orleans Moonshiners

- Aurora Nealand and her Royal Roses
