Back to the subject of the original Dukes and their first Audio Fidelity
(AFLP1862) recording from 1958.....yes, the one where they're unfortunately
all wearing clown costumes.  It's titled "Mardi Gras Time" so I guess the
outfits fit the occassion.
 
Just listened again...after years, to  the first cut which is"Way Down
Yonder In New Orleans".  
 
Swinging?  Yep!  Can't understand how folks can say this band doesn't swing.
I'll copy the song to mp3, so if anyone wants to "revisit" the song and
maybe change their opinion, well, I can send it to you.  Just let me know.
Be sure to stick around for the last chorus which in my opinion swings as
much as anyone could desire.
