[Dixielandjazz] Royalties for 70 yrs in Europe

Royalties for any recording musicians in Europe have been extended (new EU
law in April of this year) to 70 yrs...up from the earlier law of 50 yrs.
It is the intention of the collection organizations of these funds to
eventually raise the time to 90 yrs.
For the time being that means that the first recordings I did in Spain in
the late '60's will still be paying out until almost 2040! Let's see...and
I'll be HOW old?
This law is not to be confused with composer's rights. This is a performing
artist royalty. Bet a lot of folks don't know that even exists!!
