Yes we are, for all those with an inkling of what the entertainment and music industry is really all about, once again it is
a debate between the amateurs and the professionals who actually make a living playing music.

The rest simply do not count because They are taking up space and employment at resaonable professional wages away from Professionals
who walk the walk and talk the talk. Not to mention having to take underpaid gigs because they have to compete with the amateur hobbyist playing a little music on the side to self abuse themselves and further dilute an audience from hearing Real Music from Professionals.

Many OKOM musicians have been dumbing down their audience for many years with this activity to the point where many no longer recognize a professional player from an amateur ( He/She's Pretty Good ) And most of them have absolutely Nothing to say musically to align them with any Stars of the past. In other words they are all What they like to abhor !! Kenny G elevator musicians claiming to be Dixieland and or Jazz Musicians. Jazz musicians are turning over in their graves hourly.

Entertainers make a decent living. while Musicians ( a dime a dozen ) no make that about three dozen a dime in today's market) starve to death pretending to be ARTISTE' Sorry folks but if there is no supporting audience for what YOU wish to play then there is no reason for you to exist even as a DEAD Art Form, because Art for Art's Sake is dead and gone with anyone with a semblance of reality.

If you want a viable art form you have to get out and create an audience to support it. Any musician or bandleader not willing to do that deserves to fall into extinction.

Sincerely

Bart.

Are we still on the topic of artists pleasuring themselves and entertainers
pleasuring other people?

All the best,

Allan
