There was the time I played a wedding with a
"pick up - club date" band out of an office on
Long Island. The leader called "Valentine" (Eb)
so I (piano) the trumpet, tenor and trombone
player ALL played C - B - Bb -A.
Next four measures we all played the melody.
Somehow it worked out after that.
